Portulaca grandiflora or Rose Moss is spreading, red-stemmed annual with clusters of cylindrical, fleshy, bright green leaves, to 2.5cm long. In summer, produces single or double, mid- to dark green, satin-textured, rose-pink, red, yellow, or white flowers, to 2.5cm or more across, sometimes striped and flecked in a contrasting colour. ‘Sundance Hybrid’ are semi-trailing, with large, semi-double or double flowers, to 5cm across, in a broad range of bright colours.
In order for the plant to absorb the water directly from the tray, place the plant pot within the tray and fill it with water. When the soil dries out, perhaps once a week, do this. The plant's leaves will perish if you water it directly from the top.
Bright indoor light or indirect sun. 6 hours to 8 hours
Keep the temperature between 18°C and 24°C. Steer clear of draughts as they can cause unwanted temperature swings. To keep your plant at the ideal humidity level, think about spraying it twice a week.
Feed every 2–4 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer.
