Schefflera arboricola, often known as Dwarf Umbrella, is a free-standing, evergreen shrub that can reach a height of 8 to 9 meters, or it can cling to the trunks of other trees. It is frequently grown indoors and is well-liked for its ability to withstand neglect and unfavorable growing circumstances. Growing as a landscape plant, it is also practiced in milder locations with occasional moderate frost. Many cultivars have been chosen for their differences in leaf color and design; these cultivars frequently feature diminutive forms with creamy-white to yellow center veins.Appropriate care for schefflera involves two crucial components. Appropriate sunlight is the first, and appropriate irrigation is the second. Light: Schefflera plants require bright, indirect light because they are medium-light plants. Schefflera plants are often criticized for becoming lanky and floppy. Too little light is the root of this issue. To avoid leggy growth, make sure the schefflera is receiving the proper kind of light. Conversely, direct bright light will burn the leaves of a schefflera houseplant, so avoid doing so.

Water: Proper watering is essential to the health of your schefflera houseplant when it is growing. When watering, make sure to wait until the dirt in the pot dries completely before completely soaking it. Overwatering schefflera plants is a common mistake that leads to their eventual death. If your plant has yellow leaves that fall off, you might be watering it too much.

If consumed, schefflera plants are toxic to both humans and animals. Although it is not usually fatal, it can result in scorching pain, swelling, trouble swallowing, and in more serious situations, breathing difficulties.Since each plant is different, it may not look exactly like the one in the picture.
