The stunning Dieffenbachia (Dumb Cane) 'Camilla' has unusual white leaves with a green border. Originating in South America, this plant is sometimes referred to as the Deaf and Dumb plant or the Dumb Cane plant. A plant that will draw attention should therefore be placed in a pleasant, bright area of your house; nevertheless, it should not be exposed to the midday light and should have wet soil. Then, your gorgeous tropical Dieffenbachia 'Camilla' will flourish. Known by several names, the dumb cane plant, or Dieffenbachia, is among the ten most common houseplants. Its gorgeous white and green variegated foliage requires little maintenance.

Dieffenbachia requires little sunshine and grows well in semi-shaded to shaded areas. Bright light will, however, be ideal for the plant's growth. Growing dumbcanes under artificial plant lights is a good idea. The leaves will burn if they receive too much sun, but the heavier white/yellow kinds will become discolored if they receive too much shade. As a houseplant, the Dieffenbachia thrives in rooms with year-round normal temperatures. Low temperatures are intolerable to Dieffenbachias. In between waterings, give your stupid cane a good irrigation and let the soil "approach dryness."Generally speaking, plants require more water in the summer and less in the winter. Overwatering can result in rank, feeble growth, and mushy stems, as well as drown the spongy roots.
